Im pleased to announce that i have agreed to support of £2000 for MHA housing and care for older people. This organisation provide valuable support through lunch clubs and social events for the elderly and i hear nothing but great things from the local residents who use the service.
I have also written to the head of property services to ask if we can work together to resolve the situation with Smallthorne community centres floor and am hopeful that we can get this valuable community asset all singing all dancing very soon!
Im also pleased to announce that there will be nearly £20,000 spent on a local fencing programme in the East valley ward this financial year as we try and rejuvenate some of the tired old fencing that is falling apart!
